I am entering my final semester of the BFA program here at UNO, and looking back am astounded by where the program has taken me.

Although I consider myself a painter and have begun working more with clay, I am most known for my large temporary installation, “2000 Souls”, in Eppley Airfield during March of 2016.
The project raised awareness about sex trafficking in Nebraska by visually representing the individual 2,000 known victims of sex trafficking in the region through 2,000 slip cast birds hanging from Eppley’s ceiling.
There have been several faculty members who have gone above and beyond to invest in me as an artist, pushing me to my limits some days, but always towards growth, continually encouraging me to dig deeper in my work.
Walking through the years of the art program at UNO has taught me the value of sacrifice, hard work, discipline, and the beauty in creating a community with fellow artists.
I have had the freedom to explore new ideas, received unending guidance and wisdom from professors, and developed invaluable relationships within this community.
